A dream come true for Henry

Henry was taken to MCAS after Napier’s was raided. After the initial rescues had been there, taking dogs, Henry was left behind. Moonracer went to see him and we took him into our rescue. He was so frightened of everything, that he fit most of his body under the seat in the car. He had been at Napier’s Rescue since he was only 10 weeks old. Henry didn’t know very much about trust or being a dog.

His first fosters. Antje and Gary gave him tons of love and took him from that state to being able to play with their dogs and cats. He began to trust them. A nice couple tried to adopt and help Henry, but, he did not do well with them and their other dog. They thought he would do better somewhere else, so he came back and Peggy took him in to foster. She had him a short time and brought him up to an adoption event at Perks 4 Pets. A woman came up to see him and said she was going home to get her own dog and see if they got along. We were shocked when she returned and even more so to see that her dog looked as if he could be Henry’s brother! Henry liked them! It was really a sight to see, as he went with them, hopped right into the car and went to live his life, happily ever after.

The family can be seen, now and then, walking along the causeway or over at Robinson Preserve, they are still incredible! Henry truly had his dreams come true!
